On behalf of the Organizing, Steering, Scientific, and Technical Program Committees, we are delighted to invite you to the 2026 edition of ICEAA and IEEE-APWC, taking place in Toyama, Japan, from September 14–18, 2026.
Toyama was selected as the venue city of ICEAA – IEEE APWC 2026 for its exceptional charm: nestled between the Sea of Japan and the Northern Japanese Alps, it offers a stunning blend of alpine and coastal landscapes, where tradition meets modernity. The conference venue is located in the heart of Toyama City. Participants can enjoy nearby sightseeing attractions, including Toyama Castle Park, Fugan Canal Kansui Park, Fugan Canal Cruise, Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art & Design, and Toyama Glass Art Museum. There are also shopping areas and restaurants offering local food and drinks.
The New York Times selected Toyama City as one of the “52 Places to Go in 2025.” The article highlights Toyama as a city where visitors can “Enjoy cultural wonders and culinary delights while skipping the crowds.” You can also experience Toyama’s history and culture through a visit of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, “The Historic Villages of Gokayama.” We also invite you to enjoy a ride on the scenic trolley train through eastern Toyama’s “Kurobe Gorge,” the deepest gorge in Japan. Toyama deserves several days to take in all that it has to offer. We hope you fully enjoy Toyama’s exceptionally beautiful nature and historical experiences that are truly worth visiting.
Only two hours by bullet train or one hour by airplane from Tokyo, and with easy access to Osaka and Nagoya, Toyama is located approximately in the center of Japan. With three daily direct domestic flights from Tokyo Haneda Airport to Toyama Kito Kito Airport – just a 20-minute drive from the venue – Toyama’s compactness makes it convenient for conference participants.
With its magnificent September weather, Toyama provides the perfect setting to reconnect with old friends and welcome new colleagues.
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience Japan, Toyama, and its breathtaking surroundings—we’re sure you’ll love it.
We look forward to seeing you in Toyama this September!
